Hunting on Waukesha County Land Conservancy Properties

Hunting is allowed on the following properties:

  • Summit Bog in Town of Genesee              [Access from Genesee Lake Rd on the north side]
  • Davis Property in Town of Mukwonago  [Access from DNR Rrainbow Springs property.]
  • Carter Family Fen in Town of Waukesha
Hunting is allowed by permit only at Ottawa Wildlife Refuge and Scuppernong Wetlands properties.

Hunting is NOT allowed at Tamarack Preserve

This property is located within 1,700 feet of school grounds, therefor hunting is not allowed per Wis Admin Code 29.301.

29.301 General restrictions on hunting.

(1) Hunting restricted areas.
In this subsection, "school" means a public or private elementary or secondary school, including a charter school, a tribal school, as defined in s. 115.001 (15m), or a technical college.
No person may hunt within 1,700 feet of any hospital, sanatorium or the grounds of any school....

Hunting is not permitted on all other Waukesha County Land Conservancy Properties.
