Cut-Your-Own Christmas tree
$50 donation per tree
We have many different tree species available of all shapes and sizes.
This preserve was planted as a Christmas tree farm in the 1980's, and most species that were planted are not native to southeastern Wisconsin. As we work to restore this prairie back to it's natural state, these non-native trees will need to be removed to make space for native plants and wildlife. By harvesting your own tree, you are playing a role in this prairie restoration!
*If you don't want to cut-your-own tree, we will have staff and volunteers on site to cut one for you!
