All hunting lottery applications are due by August 1st, with winners being chosen 1-2 weeks after that date.
Some properties open to hunting are also part of our fall/winter stewardship workday schedule. Please take a look at our event calendar to make sure a workday is not scheduled for a day you choose to hunt an open property. Thank you!

The following properties allow all hunting*:

·    Davis Property
·    Summit Bog
·    Genesee Lake Road Tamarack Preserve (enter via Summit Bog)
·    Ottawa (Southern parcel ONLY... see map)  
·    Carter Family Fen

*All hunting allows ethical-use gun and archery hunting of waterfowl, small game, turkey, big game, and trapping for water trapping and upland trapping.

The following properties allow deer hunting with a WCLC permit obtained through the Lottery:

·    Ottawa Wildlife Refuge
·    Scuppernong Wetlands

Hunting is not permitted on any other Waukesha County Land Conservancy Properties.
Hunting is NOT allowed at Tamarack Preserve
This property is located within 1,700 feet of school grounds, therefor hunting is not allowed per Wis Admin Code 29.301.
29.301 General restrictions on hunting.
(1) Hunting restricted areas.
In this subsection, "school" means a public or private elementary or secondary school, including a charter school, a tribal school, as defined in s. 115.001 (15m), or a technical college.
No person may hunt within 1,700 feet of any hospital, sanatorium or the grounds of any school....
